Torrent users usually jump from site to site looking for the best available torrent for the one they’re searching. This is the reason why many of us torrent addicts have numerous sites (such as Torrentz and BtJunkie) bookmarked. These torrent bookmarks can occupy a considerable room in your Favorites list. Thankfully today we have discovered a program that eliminates the need to browse multiple sites for a torrent while also saving you space in your Favorites. The mentioned program is TorrentFetcher.

What the program does is enable you to search for torrents from multiple websites via a desktop program! The downloadable installation file is only 420KB large and the program itself has a minuscule memory footprint. Here is how the main window looks like:

The user interface is quite straightforward and user-friendly; any torrent user shall have no problem. To search for a torrent, all you do is enter the keywords into the search bar, and press Enter / click ‘Search’. Your results will be shown as either white or green. The green ones signify a good torrent health i.e. better seeders-to-peers ratio. Double clicking any torrent will save it in the directory which you specify (the field is under the search bar).
Furthermore before clicking ‘Search’ you can specify how many results you want displayed and the type of the torrent file you want shown:

Suppose you have specified many results to be shown and the search is taking longer, you can free up the space on your taskbar by minimizing the application to the system tray:
When you find your desired torrent and have it saved on your PC, simply open it with your Bittorrent client and start downloading. You find your torrent and get the files without ever needing to open your web browser!
While this desktop torrent downloading program has its advantages over traditional torrent searching, improvements can certainly be made. For instance, more information about the torrent could be acquired, information such as hash info or the site on which the torrent file is.
Hopefully the developers of TorrentFetcher will recognize these ways to make their creation better and improve their program greatly.
