The first step towards a child’s learning to read and write is recognizing drawings, and filling them in with the appropriate colors. Before buying them books on the alphabets, parents buy their children picture books that have outlined pictures, ready to be filled with color. This way, the child not only learns how to recognize different images, but also realizes that learning can be a fun process.
