Split and Re-Encode Multiple Mp3 Files with Mp3Splitter

Top Tip: Click Here To Clean Your Music Library In Minutes

I just discovered a little thing called mp3splitter. Mp3splitter is a freeware that can split and re-encode multiple mp3 files in user-defined time interval. Some of the noticeable features include the ability to re-encode in a different bitrate and/or sampling frequency, rename files, adjust tags title, artist and album.

This tool was originally written for splitting audio books, but it’s also useful for other large mp3’s namely, songs. Clicking here will take you where you can download this application from.

The download is amazingly small – only 571 KB and on most connections should take less than half a minute. Good news installation wise: none is needed. The download is a *.zip which extracts a folder which includes all four files. Clicking on the mp3splitter GUI opens up the following window:

Here mp3 files can be added, after which the settings tab should be entered to configure the properties of the results.

Taking the example of a lengthy audiobook which would might be inconvenient to listen to in one sitting, one can split it over a number of mp3 files all about 15 minutes long. That way, just like placing a bookmark into the books we read, we can leave off the audiobook after listening to a particular part of it, and continue from the next file.

This genius freeware is particularly useful for people who use audiobooks, and if you are one, get your hands on mp3splitter right now.
