Start Vista Media Center In Media-Only Mode

In the final post of my Vista Media Center customization weekend, I’ve discovered thanks to Everton a way to open Vista Media Center in Media-Only mode.  This is a great tip if you have kids and you don’t want them to start messing with your PC:

  1. Find your MCE shortcut and right-click and select ‘properties’
  2. in the target link you should see’......\ehome\ehshell.exe
  3. Change this to ”\ehome\ehshell.exe /mediamode‘ and MCE will now start automatically in Media-Only mode

Fantastic… sorry but, now how can I be back to “normal”, I mean, how can I see my PC screen as usual ? When I minimise the WMCE I  can only get a black screen !
