Give Your Hard Drive A Spring Clean With CCleaner

If you’re a lazy user and don’t fancy spending a lot of time giving your PC a spring clean, then one utility that will be right down your alleyway is CCleaner. This amazing piece of freeware will in a flash spruce up your hard drive by removing files you no longer use, that are taking up valuable space.
You’ll be surprised how much junk a typical windows installation can take up. I recently ran CCleaner on a friend’s PC and it removed a whopping 8GB of crap!
CCleaner also can be used to optimise your registry. I’m a bit wary of promoting registry cleaners, but CCleaner does seem to be one of te smarter ones, but always create a restore point first.

I run CCleaner aswell at home. (and at work / all my friends places)
At work its actually helped correct applications to work properly again, due to the registry fixes.
Never have I needed to use the backup of the registry either.
so I simply stopped running backups of the registry.
Great tool!
