Find New Music With TheSixtyOne
![]()
Most of us find new music to purchase (or download ;-)) from watching music tv channels, from visiting music stores, or from recommendations from friends. The latter isn’t covered very well on the web. That is, until TheSixtyOne became available.
TheSixtyOne is a service that allows users to share and discover new music. It has a voting mechanism a-la-digg, that allows you to see what tracks and artists are hot. The more votes a track gets, the more promotion it gets. You can also subscribe to other user’s favourites and playlists, so if you find someone with similar tastes to you, then you can share and listed to the new material that they find as well.

PS - does anyone know why the site is called ‘TheSixtyOne’?
