Tips On Upgrading WordPress

I finally updated this site to WordPress 2.3. It was a bit of a nerve-racking experience as it didn’t go right the first time, and I was a bit concerned that a years work was about to go down the drain.
In general, you just should always do the following before upgrading WordPress:
- Backup everything !
- Reviewed the current WordPress.org list of 2.3 compatible plugins.
- Disable all plugins
- Copy the new Wordpress files over your old ones
- Check the site for errors, if none proceed. If you see errors remove the corresponding code
