Top Tip: Click here to run a free scan for common PC errors
There’s so many free programs around that it’s hard to say which is best, but Gili over at Connected Internet has had a go, with his Best Free Software list.
His list contains many gems including Foxit Reader, which is an alternative to the awful Adobe Acrobat program. I think Acrobat is a classic example of a program that used to be great, that is now weighed down with bloat.
If I could add one program to the list it would be Speedfan. I love the way this program lets me control my PC’s fan speeds, so that I can keep the noise levels down if the CPU and motherboard doesn’t need a lot of cooling.
