Looks like the iTunes store has finally got some decent competition. Gbox launched today with DRM-free tracks available for 99 cents - the same price as tracks from the ITunes Music Store. The company seems to be well-backed with tracks available from Universal and SonyBMG artists like Prince and 50 Cent.
Buying DRM-free tracks means that tracks played can be used on any player or any PC, and aren’t locked to particular accounts or devices like with iTunes. It also means that you can share tracks with friends, although where you are allowed to do this legally of course!
