I’ve been using Vista since it came out, and I’ve been relying mainly on the inbuilt security to keep me safe. After reading about WinPatrol on the new gHacks site, I decided to install it straight away to give my machine an extra layer of protection.
WinPatrol increases the changes of catching malware that your other protection misses by monitoring your startup processes, file associations, scheduled tasks etc and asking the user every time a program wants to add an entry to those places.
