I’ve been looking for a program like The Last Ripper for a long time. With this great freeware program you can record mp3 streams from Last.fm to your hard drive. This is a fantastic way to get some great new music for your PC.
To use The Last Ripper you need a last.fm account, which isn’t a problem as it only takes a few minutes to register. Once you’ve got a last.fm account and you’ve installed The Last Ripper, enter your login name and password into the software and choose one of the radio stations available and you can start recording.
The Last Ripper has several other nice features:
- Recording Last.fm streams to mp3’s
- Organize your music in directories: Artist/Album/Track/
- Downloads coverart
- Appends ID3v1 tags
- Generates playlist in M3U, SMIL, PlS
