How To Search For Faces On Google Image Search

View Comments June 7, 2007 | Tony Williams

Here’s a neat tip to tell Google Image Search to just find faces, rather than images that contain your keywords.
To search faces on Google Image Search, just add ‘&imgtype=face’ behind your search URL.

E.g if you were searching for a person with the last name “Farmer” then once you’re results have been returned ( http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=farmer ) then add ‘&imgtype=face’ at the end of the url (
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=farmer&imgtype=face ) and your results will now only show faces.
