Free 411 Calls With Goog-411

Goog-411

Thanks to Google you can now make free 411 calls using Goog-411. The service can be accessed by dialing 1-800-GOOG-411 from any ordinary phone. The service uses voice recognition; all you have to do is tell it your city and state, then follow the instructions. Results are read back to you or sent via SMS.

I wonder if Google are planning anymore ‘offline’ services?

    Just letting everyone know, I tries this earlier today, and it works great (better than 1-800-FREE-411 in my opinion). If you want to here something funny, ask for “CompUSA” in your area, it will mispronounce it. And you might want to check out this page:
