I’ve been doing a lot of work on my new theme today (what do you think by the way? I think it’s cool!) so I haven’t had a lot of time to find a good tip to write about. Then I looked at my desktop and realised I hadn’t told you about one of my favorite apps which I’ve been using for quite some time.

The Free Wallpaper Changer app is fantastic. Not only does it change your wallpaper automatically at a pre-determined interval which can be anything from 15mins to 24 hours, it also comes totally spyware and advertising free.

It has a simple interface that lets you add your own pictures to an Album, and then you can decide which Album to rotate pictures from. Once it is running it sits nicely in the system tray and if you don’t like the currently displayed wallpaper all you have to do is double-click on the system tray icon to change it.

    just tried WPTimer, works great on XP and Vista .. easy to use (select wallpapers and set timer interval in minutes, thats it), and its freeware ;) Download-Link: http://www.dreamscene.org/download.php#wptimer

  • Can you please download the new version of MyAvatars? You can find it on my website. Even if you already have version 0.2 please upgrade it again :)

  • Free Wallpaper Changer also allows you to download wallpapers, but I've never tried that option.

    I use paperquote. It is a small program which can be found at www.paperquote.com. With its help one can download a wallpaper everyday. Its speciality is that there is a quote inscribed on each wallpaper. You have a choice of downloading wallpapers from a number of free and pay channels.
