Submit Your Blog For ‘Pimp My Blog’
Everton Blair and the readers of Connected Internet are collectively running a blog optimisation programme called ‘Pimp My Blog’. Every week the team are selecting one lucky blog in need of a makeover, or just tips on increasing advertising revenue and traffic.
I’m thinking about submitting One Tip A Day, which is starting to build up a surprisingly high level of traffic in under 3 months, yet all of my readers appear to be very shy and don’t leave any comments. I’d like to know how to get more readers to leave comments.
To submit your site for a ‘Pimping’ then click here.

I’ve just realized that one of the reasons I’ve had no comments is because my comments form was broken!
Hopefully, the comments will start to flood in now………..

One good way is, of course, to ask questions as you have in this post.
Another is to write something contentious, say, “the iPhone is a piece of crap”. That ought to get a few responses.
However, as a fellow blog owner, although it\’s nice to get responses to your posts (provides validation that people think what you are writing is useful/interesting, or just that they are reading what you are writing), are comments really that important?
After all, as long as your traffic is increasing, who cares about comments? Believe me, they can be a double-edged sword when you consider how much time it can take to manage and answer them.

How on earth did you manage to get such a big MBL avatar?!!!
I agree that commenting can be ‘pointless’ at times but I’ve only been blogging for 3 months, so I’m keen on getting feedback from readers to see if they are finding my tips useful. I’d also like to get to know my readers better and to get a few discussions, otherwise blogging can be a bit lonely at times.
I’m also a very helpful person, so I’d love it if any readers asked for my help.
